FOOD PANTRYBack to Community Ministries
This village of about 1,000 people sits on a dead-end street on the outskirts of Sisak. The people of the village have very little and are often blamed by society for being beggars, liars and thieves. Our ministry team was told by many locals to avoid the Gypsy Village for fear of our possessions and our personal safety.
HiS PRINT has been praying about the opportunity to visit the Gypsy Village for several years, and in 2013 God opened the window for us to step through! We took clothes, hats, toys, candy and the Gospel Message in Croatian. We shared God's truth through His written word and we shared His love through our actions and by reaching out to this community.
In 2015, HiS PRINT began working with an established community services program called Građanska inicijativa "Moj grad Sisak" a food pantry that services the less fortunate families in the surrounding villages. We have been blessed to have the opportunity to give the funds necessary to aid 5 families in 2015 and 12 families in 2016. We helped shop at the local grocery store and then went to their facility to pack and prepare for the families that were to receive it. In 2016 we took 12 people to each of the 12 homes and prayed with each family when we delivered the food. Each family received a blessing and were appreciative of the prayers we offered.
